Teaching children to behaveJoni D. from Characters of Characters, was kind enough to share a classroom theme that I thought to be so wonderful!  In her classroom Joni had a different character theme each month.  She began with the character, Behavior Bear.  During this month she had a poster in the classroom, a story, a puppet, and all sorts of activities that highlighted positive behavior.  The next month another character was chosen based on her observation on the students' character traits.  The rest of the characters that she chose from were Do'er Duck, Friendship Frog, Respectful Rabbit. Warm-Hearted Walrus, Responsible Rabbit, Healthy Hippo, and Manners Monkey.  These great characters, ideas, videos, and more can be found at www.charactersofcharacter.org .  Thanks Joni!
